Open Auditions – Singers for Disney’s “The Lion King” in NY
Disney is holding open auditions for vocalists for “The Lion King“.
The company is casting both male and female singers for their production of “The Lion King” which will be performed on board the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic cruise ships. Entertainers cast for the show will travel with the company to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

Callbacks to be held on July 1 & 2, 2014.
Casting directors will be auditioning female vocalists at 10:00 AM and both male and female vocalists at 02:00 PM - Sign-in: at 9:00 AM and at 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Disney Cruise Line® is seeking talented and versatile musical theatre vocalists for entertainment productions on our luxury cruise liners, the Disney Magic® and the Disney Wonder®, sailing on voyages to Bahamian and Caribbean ports. Hiring a repertory Company of 19 performers to bring to life four musical theatre style productions. Contracts begin September 2014 for approximately nine months and include competitive pay, room and board, guest sailing privileges, additional benefits package and no cruise staff duty.
Seeking the following roles:
FEMALE LION KING VOCALIST: Female, 20s- 30s, 5’4”- 5’7”, principal vocalist of African-heritage with a rich, soulful, gospel sound. Able to bring down the house. Also sings “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.” MALE LION KING VOCALIST: Male, 20s-30s, 5’8” – 6’, vocalist of African-heritage.
Extremely strong singer. Physically in good shape. Sings “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.” Soaring Tenor.
Performers must be at least 18 years of age

Please prepare 16 bars of a musical selection and provide sheet music in the correct key
Some performers may be asked to learn a small movement combination. Please attend only one call. Vocalists do not have to attend multiple calls to be considered for multiple roles.
